This collar uses a single, extra wide layer of leather folded on itself to create a collar without cut edges that could irritate especially sensitive skin, especially on those who like to wear their collars tight. The stiff latigo strap ensures an easy on-off with the locking buckle and provides structure. The leather will soften over time, though the latigo center strap will keep it functional for play even as the already-soft leather becomes even softer and molded to your body. Because the main leather of the collar is only one layer, it's lighter than other play collars and has the smooth hardware visible on the inside.
